Vittorio Emanuele II
Destination: Residential
Year: Current
At the corner of Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and Via Accademia Albertina, in the vibrant historic center of Turin, a residential building has undergone a profound transformation. This was not merely a renovation, but a complete integral intervention designed to restore life to a period property, preserving its architectural soul while bridging it toward the highest standards of contemporary living.
The project unfolded in two major phases: an initial "strip-out" to completely empty the building, followed by the targeted demolition of internal walls and floors. One of the most delicate operations was the replacement of the pitched roof, modifying internal heights to create new habitable spaces in the attic—a challenge requiring perfect synergy between architecture, structural engineering, and systems planning.
The works included new floor slabs, elevator replacement, window installation, and high-end finishes. In this complex site, safety coordination and daily engineering assistance were crucial tools for risk prevention, ensuring a successful delivery that respected both strict regulations and the project schedule.
